Syncing between iPhone and web

There's no sync engine to fight with: your data lives in your Ember account, and both the iPhone app and the web app read the same account. Log a meal on your phone, and the web dashboard has it because they're looking at the same record.

When something looks stale or missing, it's almost always one of three things:

1. Different accounts

The classic. Check Settings on both platforms and confirm the same email — a different email is a different account with different data. See Sign-in problems.

2. A stale screen

Data updates when the screen refreshes:

  • Web — reload the page.
  • iPhone — pull to refresh, or leave and re-open the tab.

3. Connection during a workout

A live workout logs sets from your phone as you go. With no signal in the gym, sets are kept on the phone and sync when you're back online — finish the workout normally and give it a connected moment before expecting it on the web.
