Sign-in problems

Ember uses passwordless sign-in: enter your email, get a 6-digit code from noreply@emberfitness.app (subject "Your Ember sign-in code"), type it in. No password exists to forget — if that's what you were looking for, you're all set.

The code didn't arrive

  1. Check spam/junk and search your mail for "Ember" — first-time codes land in spam more often than we'd like.
  2. Check the email you typed. The most common cause is a typo'd address — the code went to the wrong (or nonexistent) inbox. Go back and re-enter it.
  3. Wait a minute, then resend. There's a short cooldown between codes; the newest code is the one that counts.

"That code isn't working"

  • Codes expire after 10 minutes — if you found it later, request a fresh one.
  • After 5 wrong attempts a code is invalidated — request a new one rather than retrying.
  • If you requested several codes, only the most recent is valid.

I signed in, but my data is missing

Almost always this means you signed in with a different email than last time — which is a different Ember account. Your data isn't gone; it's under the other address. Check Settings → your email on the device where things look right, then sign in with exactly that address everywhere. One email = one account across iPhone and web.

I used Ember on iPhone before creating an account

That works by design — your phone gets a private device-based profile until you add an email. When you sign in with an email that has no existing account, everything you logged comes with you. If the email already has an Ember account, your phone switches to that existing account — data logged before signing in stays with the device profile and won't be merged into it.
